Fishing Rods and Reels and Fishing Lures   by Sachin Kumar Airan

Fishing has been a favorite hobby and sport for many. There is something relaxing about fishing that just can’t really be put into words. It doesn’t matter if its bass fishing, ice fishing, or fresh water fishing, the entire experience is just amazing. It’s not really just about catching the largest fish either. It’s the entire experience from beginning to end. For example, the act of hooking your bait on the fishing line can be great. How many times have you cast and feel a bump all of a sudden, then BAM! You attempt to set your hook but you miss that fish completely. Can you relate? Of course, it happens all the time.

Most people can’t figure out why they keep missing the fish. Pre-setting the hook is a lot harder than it looks. Lots of people throw in a top water lure, and then see a fish jumping on it; they jerk the rod and still miss the fish. There are specific times that warrant certain baits to use and also require setting the hook immediately. There are also other times when you don’t want to preset the hook too fast.

Fishing is probably the most exciting of all sports, at least in some people’s minds. Top water fishing is one of the more amazing forms of fishing. One of the most commonly used baits is the Zara Spook. This is probably one of the best bass fishing baits you can use. Many people throw this into the water and immediately see a fish jumping on it. They then try to immediately set the hook and miss the fish. The key to improving is patience. If you let the fish take the bait and then take your time and wait until you notice enough pressure from the fish, before you preset the hook, then you won’t lose as many fish. This method can be applied to almost all top water baits you’re using. This includes floating worms, jerk baits, prop baits, poppers, and the Zara Spook.

Here at Premium Fishing, we strive to offer quality fishing supplies and we want to do our best so you can have the most amazing fishing experience ever. Fly Fishing Tackle Overview: The Shimano Caenan CAE100 Baitcaster Reel   by Tommy Jones

If you happen to be a lot like me, then you get much pleasure from gathering up your Fly Fishing Tackle and going out to a untouched stream to engage in a struggle with a clever trout or salmon. To rest assured that your likelihood of success is good, it would be sensible to carry along one or two extra fishing reels for use if the weather conditions should change. Whatever extra reel you select needs to be as adaptable as it can; if you want to know what my choice is, then read further to find out about the Shimano CAE100 baitcaster reel.

Fly Fishing Tackle: Key Features of the Shimano Caenan CAE100 Baitcaster Reel

Featured in the Shimano 2011 fishing tackle catalogue, this Caenan CAE100 fishing reel has all the different features we all anticipate from such a well-known manufacturer. This is an all-new design for Shimano, with a super fast 6.5:1 retrieve ratio, and a 6+1 ball bearing drive. You should know that this reel has a right hand retrieve. The Lo-Mass spool system on the reel is aluminium and there are 6 stainless steel ball bearings. Even another aspect I am in favour of is its VBS variable braking system which has a reduced mass hub. In addition, it is equipped with a Super Stopper and also an Assist Stopper. The high density EVA power grips will provide great control while battling against your adversary. Overall, it is a marvellous piece of Fly Fishing Tackle.

Fly Fishing Tackle: Additional Facts Regarding the Caenan CAE100 Baitcaster

The impressive list of the CAE100′s features continues with the disengaging level wind system, and the Quickfire II clutch bar. It also has a 1/8 turn easy access attached side plate. If you happen to standing out in hip-deep stream that is fast-moving, your fly fishing equipment should be performing properly; the CAE will not let you down. From the drilled handle shank to the strong ceramic line guide, this is a reel that’s sure to become a favourite in short order. The cast control knob is manufactured from a hard-wearing metal alloy and it has a recessed reel foot. The CAE100 can be used with braided, monofilament, as well as fluorocarbon line. You can also implement it in saltwater. The reel weighs about 200 grams, and will hold 180yd of 8lb test line, 155yd of 10lb test, and 110yd of 14lb test.

Fly Fishing Tackle: Final Thoughts on the Shimano Caenan CAE100 Baitcaster Reel

The many aspects of this Caenan CAE100 reel unite to enable it to be utilised for hunting a large diversity of fish classes, and, in addition, with different varieties of lures, like crankbaits, spinnerbaits, worms, and jigs. Even another major characteristic is its six protected stainless steel ball bearings. Another thing I took note of is that the Shimano Lo-Mass spool supplies easy start up inertia, despite its very lightweight baits and lures. The reel weighs about 200 grams, so it’s comfortable for extended duration fishing sessions. This is a smart-looking as well as highly effective piece of gear that I am sure will extend me numerous years of uncomplicated service.

I highly advocate the Shimano Caenan CAE100 baitcaster reel as a truly superb fly fishing tackle.

Shimano Fishing Reels fers you a wide variety of fishing reels   by sanjay kumar

Shimano set shop in the early 1920′s and since then it has grown from strength to strength. Being a veteran in the field of fishing equipment, Shimano fishing reels are known world wide for their strength and durability. Shimano offers you a wide variety of fishing reels to choose from depending on your fishing needs and style.

But before you go and buy your Shimano fishing reel there are a few things you need to figure out first or else you may end up getting confused. To start with, you need to figure for what purpose you need the Shimano fishing reel- for saltwater or freshwater. Also you need to take into account the kind of species you are targeting, as Shimano fishing reels are available in different line sizes.

For example- You will need a larger diameter line with high test strength if you are a glutton for the big fish. And although Shimano fishing reels are available online as well, it is always better to buy it from a retailer where you can hold the reel and feel the difference between various models available. Now that you have figured out what kind of reel are you really looking for, Shimano offers a wide array of fishing reels depending upon your budget and needs. Shimano has a plethora of conventional reels, low profile bait reels, round bait reels, offshore spinning reels as well as spinning reels. Talking of conventional reels, one cannot help but mention the hugely successful Trinidad DC. With a digital braking system and an eight stop adjustment knob which helps you control the mode of the rod, the Trinidad Dc is an angler’s delight. Another conventional reel on offer in the Shimano fishing reels chest is the Tekota. Tekota, like all other Shimano fishing reels, is high on strength and durability and is suited for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. And if it is a spinning reel you are looking for, Spirex FG is an excellent buy. It is apt for single hand casts and the A-RB bearings make line retrieval as smooth as butter.

Though if going offshore is your thing, then the Sahara spinning reel from the Shimano fishing reel factory is well suited to you. But when talking about Shimano, you have got to pay Shimano Tymos a tribute. Tymos is the perfect lightweight reel for catching that big fish which has been so elusive. Its lightweight aluminium frame enhanced with a graphite plate makes it durable and flexible at the same time. What’s more, you need not worry about your lever shaking while you are trolling because its state-of-the art design eliminates that nuisance. Not to mention the four anti ball bearings, a titanium drag and a loud click strike alarm making it tensile enough to hold large baits. So go check out your nearest retailer to get your Shimano fishing reels that make the sport of fishing more exciting than ever.

Fishing Flies Lures

Fishing the Mississippi River and the Yellow River In NE Iowa   by Howard Bright

Fishing
Fly Fishing
Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Smallmouth Bass can rip the line off your reel and get your heart thumping. You’ll settle into the quiet serenity of the Yellow River as you float or wade casting your fly into a pool or eddy below the white water rapids. Surrounded by overhanging Willows and towering Cottonwoods on a long stretch of quiet water your mind is at peace. Suddenly on your right, a bank of cool air floats toward you and a dark shady vertical limestone bluff towers above and descends into the river. The vertical rock wall is like a fairy tail scene come true with ferns, mosses, lichens and wildflowers covering the wet dripping rock. You stop and cast a dry fly along the edge of the deep clear water cut and watch as a huge Brown Trout inhales the tiny fly.

Mississippi River Fishing
Nearby the Mississippi awaits you and lures you into the heart of some of the best backwater fishing in America nestled between the steep bluffs of Marquette, Iowa and Prairie duChien, Wisconsin. After launching your fishing boat, slowly and quietly you maneuver into a backwater lake just to the left of the fog laden side channel. The entrance of the lake is narrow and almost unnoticeable. A gentle soft current flows through this secluded opening. A large cottonwood log stands sentry at the entry point of this large backwater lake covered with blooming water lilies and lotus. The morning is still andas the mist rises and filters the sunlightinto a beautiful glow, a Great Blue Heron stands on one leg perched and ready to get its breakfast. The air is fresh as it fills your lungs. Coming to a dead stop, thankfulness fills your soul as you experience this creation of nature. Few people will ever have this experience and tears come to your eyes as you stare in awe at the glorious scene looming in the still morning and your heart is filled with joy. Your first cast with your floating frog lands him on top of a water lily. Just as you twitch it off the lily pad and as it hits the water, there is a sudden explosion of a 4-pound Largemouth Bass that has been fooled by your “look alike frog”.
Around noon your family meets you back at the launching ramp. After a picnic lunch, every one is ready to meet the afternoon. After a short ride in the boat you and your family find yourselves anchored and sitting idly under the shade of an Old Willow tree in the maze of backwater sloughs. A cast into the deep shade offered by the willow sends the bobber and bait to a good-looking niche. The bobber makes a little bounce and disappears as a big Bluegill struggles to tangle the line in a maze of logs and roots but to no avail as your son smiles and laughs. He adds this little scrapper to the live well and makes another cast to the same honey hole.
Later in the day in the maze of backwater sloughs, everyone looses track of time and where they are but who cares because your family is having fun. What a life this is!
As the sun sets and the sky turns a pink red, your memories of today’s fishing experience will be fond andnever forgotten. When the darkness of the cricket filled night engulfs you and the fog and mist fill the Mississippi valley, your dreams about tomorrow will fill your sleep as vivid images paint pictures of your destiny tomorrow, a Hugh Northern Pike just hooked over a clear water weed-bed. Yes, what a life and what a trip!
The Mississippi River and the Yellow River are within 15 minuets of The Natural Gait. http://www.thenaturalgait.com where many fishermen stay. There are modern beautiful cabins, a lodge, and other accomidations something for the whole family.

Bait Fishing: Check it Out Here! Details on the Crappie’s Food Chain!   by Mark Fleagle

The crappie feed on a variety of different food sources but their primary food chain includes small crappie bait fish such as fathead minnows, small aquatic insects, such as damselfly larva,or dragon fly larva, and crustaceans such as small crayfish. The crappie will be close by if you can locate one of these food choices they are feeding on and then imitate your bait fishing crappie bait to match as natural as possible. The closer you can match your crappie bait fishing selection to there natural food source the better luck you will have.

Crappie will feed on a variety of bait fish through out the year. The species of bait fish that the crappie feed on depends on a variety of different factors such as the season of the year and the area of the country you are fishing. For example if you are bait fishing for crappie in a farm pond in the spring and early summer you would probably use small sunfish fry to fish as a live bait or a artificial bait presentation. Small sunfish fry are typically abundant in farm ponds at the time of your and crappie love to feed on them when they are available. Or for example for example if you were fishing in southern waters and the area of water you are fishing on has large populations of threadfin or gizzard shad then you would locate the shad schools to go bait fishing for crappie.

Crappies are opportunists and will adapt to the food source that is available to them. For example if there is a new hatch of mayfly larva in the water that you are fishing a good bait fishing selection would be live mayflies or a mayfly larva imitation because chance are any crappie or other game fish in the area will feeding on the mayfly larva.

Know most fisherman think to use crustaceans for crappie bait but the truth be told small crustaceans such as small crayfish under 2″ in length make a large portion of the crappies daily diet. Another bait fish that is seldom used for crappie are small goldfish and when traditional bait fish selection are not working sometimes fishing with small gold fish will be the answer. Unlike other non traditional crappie baits such as threadfin and gizzard shad that need to be caught in the wild, goldfish are sold at just about any bait shop throughout the united states.

Well that concludes our article about bait fishing for crappie. We wish you luck on your next fishing trip!
