Alaska Fly Fishing – The Great Adventure

What is the Difference between Backing and floating line? I just got a fly Package and dont know which is which, how to set up line/backing onto reel.

i have been fly-fishing and fly tying for over 30 years and these sites are great reference for me because i don’t tie all the knots regularly
